A former heavyweight boxer takes a rising young fighter under his wings in this uplifting film about courage and second chances. As the new kid at school, Matthew Miller desperately wants to join his high school's boxing team, but resident bully and boxing champion Hector stands in his way. Facing constant torment, Matthew finds an unlikely ally in Dan Barnes, the school's janitor and ex boxing pro who hung up his gloves to escape his violent lifestyle. Despite Matthew's overprotective parents and unimposing size, Dan sees potential in the newcomer and a chance to put Hector in his place. Together, Matthew and Dan train for the biggest match in Matthew's life and discover what it truly means to be a winner.

It is always hard to be the new kid at a school. Matthew has to adapt to a change in his life, moving to a new place to live in addition to being new to the school. He loves boxing and wants to learn the sport. Matthew's problem is that his mother doesn't want him to do this and he battles his fear of the bully of the school. But along the way he finds help through some unlikely supporters.

This is a film about building confidence in one's self and finding a different way other than violence to deal with a bully. The story is compelling and about overcoming change.
