A young boy emerges from life-saving surgery with remarkable stories of his visit to heaven. Heaven Is for Real is the true story of the four-year old son of a small town Nebraska pastor who during emergency surgery slips from consciousness and enters heaven. He survives and begins talking about being able to look down and see the doctor operating and his dad praying in the waiting room. The family didn't know what to believe but soon the evidence was clear.

Colton said he met his miscarried sister, whom no one had told him about, and his great grandfather who died 30 years before Colton was born, then shared impossible-to-know details about each. "I loved this book! Saw the boy and dad on TV, it is totally believable. His account verifies Biblical accounts of heaven and he tells about many things he would not have known if he didn't actually go to heaven. I lost a daughter when she was 29, and had a miscarriage earlier in life. My mom had stillborn twins and a miscarriage and I know they're all in heaven together now, perhaps my daughter's running around with the sister she always wanted. This book will bless and encourage you. I loaned my book to my ex-husband and he was equally encouraged by it, and also bought a new copy and let a nun friend of mine read it who is now buying more books to give away. I've also seen the young artist's (who painted Jesus) works in person. She truly has a gift from God. It's a fast read, only took me about three hours. It made me cry and laugh and just lifted my heart so much. I'm now reading the book for the second time, something I rarely do. I may buy even more copies to give away."

"This is the most fulfilling book I have read in a long while. I couldn't put it down. The bible passage references didn't bother me a bit, and while I'm not a scholar, I've read enough of the bible to recognize the passages. Now that I'm done with the book, I'm going to look each and every one of them up in my bible, but I don't expect to find any contradictions. Some reviewers didn't think that the father's/mother's perspective should have been included in the book. I think that without it, we wouldn't have gotten the true meaning behind all that Colton has shared with us. I can't see one thing that should be edited in the book. It's perfect just the way it is."
